Special session n° 2: Approximate Computing and Arithmetic for Low Power DSP Systems

Organizers:

  • Daniel Menard, INSA Rennes – IETR UMR CNRS Laboratory, FR

Theme:

DSP applications involve the execution of numerous mathematical operations. The inherent error resiliency of many DSP applications allows the use of approximate computing techniques or low precision arithmetic.  The aim of this session is to present recent advances in approximate computing and arithmetic to reduce the energy consumption of DSP systems.
